Happy New Year! As we head into 2023 we encourage everyone to make their New Year’s resolution this year to live your healthiest life! Yes, we know that is a bit vague and can have many different meanings, but here are some simple and attainable goals you can set this year to help you live your healthiest life.

Eat Your Greens

Your mom was right when she told you to eat your greens as a kid. Dark leafy green vegetables are loaded with essential vitamins, minerals, and fiber. The darker the green the more packed with nutritional goodness. In 2023 aim to eat leafy greens every day! There are tons of options that will guarantee that you do not get bored of eating the same greens day after day. Here are just some of the greens you can begin to incorporate into your daily diet;  kale, spinach, collard greens, cabbage, beet greens, watercress, romaine lettuce, swiss chard, and so many others!

Wash Your Hands

Annual Physical

Schedule your annual physical for 2023. These visits are essential for helping you live your healthiest life possible. Exercise

According to Mayo Clinic adults should, “Get at least 150 minutes of moderate aerobic activity or 75 minutes of vigorous aerobic activity a week, or a combination of moderate and vigorous activity.” Exercise has endless health benefits, but regular exercise can help; control weight, reduce the risk of health issues, help your body better manage glucose and insulin, improve mood, increase energy levels, and much more. Make it a priority to begin exercising, aiming for 150 minutes of weekly activity. This can be anything! Some options include; walking, swimming, biking, dancing, running, yoga, and much more.
